Crown Choice Inn & Suites Lakeview Waterpark

The rooms could use a little updating, but we had a nice room for our 3 night stay. The staff was very nice and the beds was super comfortable. We had a balcony, so that was nice. We also had access to the waterpark and my son loved that. They also had a pool and hottub. It was a good place to stay in town.

It's a three star hotel. I expected nothing more or nothing less. Sure, it was a little grimey but it wasn't bad. The baseboards weren't scrubbed in the corners and there was a stain on the wall next to the table. The rooms were nice and large and comfortable. I did wish for a slightly thicker blanket on the bed but I'm sure I could have asked and been given one. Toilet, tub, and sink were clean. There were plenty of towels and handtowels. The kitchenette was nice, to have a second sink and counter space was great to keep organized. The front desk clerk was polite and helpful. We checked in at the hotel and it was staffed all night. The hallways were a little dated but once again, three-star hotel. The view was okay from the rooms to the north but I'd have definitely preferred waterfront. Next time. Location was good. A little farther south than some but still within walking distance to everything. The indoor pool and hot tub and waterpark were nice. The only negatives I have, other than no breakfast on premises, are that the outdoor pool/hot tub and sauna were both out of order. They were working on the pool when we were there and as a pool owner, I know how that goes... The arcade was small but the kids enjoyed it when we had a little downtime. Gym was small, only three machines, but who needs a gym on vacation? All and all, I'd stay again. Maybe just in a waterfront view room.

Very nice for the price. All staff was very helpful and attentive. Signs in halls of maids working all hours of the day. Pool/waterpark was well stocked w towels, chairs and tables. Downsides, vending, ice, laundry, game room and waterpark entrance all on 3rd floor. One elevator and luggage cart in the whole place, and it doesn't take u to the waterpark, those are 3 flights of stairs or the front door from outside. First floor rooms have parking lot access, 2nd and 3rd all had balconies. 4th u take a set of stairs from the 3rd. Roughly 60 rooms. We truly enjoyed the game room but change machine was empty, front desk sells rolls of quarters. Improvements they could use new carpet throughout and would be nice if hotel and waterpark entrances were locked needing key card to maybe keep locals from sneaking it and helping it stay crowded. The pool could have used a good cleaning, the bottom was covered in sand. Overall, do believe we will visit again. Great little waterpark, especially for younger children or a child's first time.

Simply exquisite spot! From the moment my family and I stepped foot into this luxorious housing, we were greeted with smiling faces who were more than willing to help at whatever costs. Very clean, no dust or stenches. I’m so grateful for this place. We will be back!

The front desk lady really needs to learn how to do customer service. Attitude is not necessary, nor warranted, during a check in. Waterpark: why do waterparks in Michigan insist on the water being ice cold? The kidzone where the slides are, is ice cold. The kids don't seem to mind though. The pool is decently warm and the hot tub is hot without jets. The sauna doesn't work. Room: floor is clean and looks like newer carpet. The beds are comfortable & clean. There's a tv, microwave & refrigerator. Bathroom sink is clogged or it's because the drain cap is broken. The closet door (a sliding folding mirror) is difficult to open&close. Lots of hangers. It's too bad there's no breakfast provided or available for purchase. These days, breakfast really should be part of a hotel stay. They literally have a "breakfast area" too on their hotel map. It's also too bad no restaurants are attached to hotels in Michigan. Overall, if they could get a better hotel personnel at the front desk & warm up the Waterpark, this place could be great! Maybe have a minimarket in the hotel as well for those of us hungry but don't want to gear-up onto the snowmobile and get food.

My trip was very last minute so I booked here before reading the reviews. I was skeptical after reading all the bad reviews, BUT it wasn’t anything like I read. My room was very clean and stocked. The workers were nice and helped when I needed. The water park and pools, though looking a little rough from wear and tear was clean and my kids absolutely loved it. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the housekeeping/room service. I had to take my garbage out myself and go to the office to get more towels because housekeeping did not do it before they left. Overall, it was very pleasant. I would definitely take my kids back!

I booked without reading the reviews. On our way north I read the reviews and started to regret our choice. My expectations were pretty low. The woman at the desk was awesome upon check in, super friendly. Helped us get checked in, which I think was early and a holiday weekend. I noticed some of the same elements of the 1 star reviews, but our room was clean and extremely comfortable. My kids loved the water park to close out the day, I mean I wouldn’t spend money just to go there but it was a fun time. The place could use some work and I can’t say you’ll be impressed, but my family had a restful night and it served its purpose.

I visited this place with family and friends, so we booked one suite. Two bedrooms and one bathroom for a few days, fantastic and comfortable, but has some minuses. The bathroom has no privacy because the broken doors do not close. The broken high wooden railings/pools on the side beds are very dangerous because they are movable, so you must put them away. If not, they fall on your head at night when you sleep. During the day, when you are out of the hotel, you can expect some visits to your room - I don't know who? Overall, the place for stopping looks great. The lovely woman at the front desk check-in / check-out area welcomed everyone with a smile.
